Day-to-day of the role:

We are seeking an HR Assistant to join a team at a unique organisation, this temporary role is based on site in Blackburn. The HR Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the HR department by ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding process for new employees.

  • Monitor the HR inbox and respond to queries in a timely manner.
  • Prepare onboarding materials, including welcome packets, employee handbooks, and other necessary documentation for new hires.
  • Assist with the completion and submission of new hire paperwork, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. This includes employment contracts, DBS & reference checks, and benefits enrolment forms.
  • Input new starter details onto the payroll system.
  • Manage the addition of cover and annual leave requests onto the internal HR system, maintaining accurate records.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
