HLTA - Blackburn:

Prospero Teaching are currently looking for a HLTA to join a lovely primary school in Blackburn. You will be supporting pupils in small groups and leading lessons while the teacher is on PPA.

This is a full time position to start in March and run until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of the curriculum, both core and foundation subjects.

The Role:

• Covering lessons while the teacher is on PPA
• Supporting pupils 1-1 and in small groups
• Maintaining regular communication with the class teacher to monitor progress of the pupils
• Building rapport with students, staff and parents

Position Details:

• Location: Blackburn
• Position: HLTA
• Type of Work: Temporary
• Hours: 8:15am-3pm
• Full time/Part time: Full time only
• Minimum Rate of Pay: 110-130 per day, depending on experience
• Start date: 03/03/2025
• End date: July 2025

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

• Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
• Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification required
• Previous experience covering lessons for KS1 and KS2

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold right to work in the UK
• Hold and enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
