Primary Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant - Blackburn:

Prospero Teaching are looking for a teaching assistant to join one of our schools near to Blackburn. You will be supporting a Year 4 class.

This is a full time position to start as soon as possible and run until the end of the academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent psychology graduate who is looking to pursue a career in education.

The Role:

• Supporting children in small groups and 1-1
• Liaising with the class teacher to monitor the progress of the children
• Preparing learning resources and activities
• Creating a positive and supportive learning environment

Position Details:

• Location: Blackburn
• Position: Teaching Assistant
• Hours: 8:30am-3:30pm
• Type of Work: Temporary
• Full time/Part time: Full time only
• Minimum Rate of Pay: 90 per day, depending on experience
• Start date: 24/02/2025
• End date: Ongoing

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

• Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
• Previous experience supporting pupils within a school setting
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification desired but not essential

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
