English Teacher - Blackburn - Full time - October Prospero Teaching are seeking a qualified, passionate and enthusiastic English Teacher to work at a popular secondary school in Blackburn to join them from after October half term on a full time basis for the rest of the academic year until July 2025. This role is a full time position and is open to ECTs as well as more experienced teachers of English. The successful candidate will need to immediately fully immerse themselves in the school and department and assist in planing and preparing lessons, attend departmental meetings & parents evenings when necessary. You will also need to be able to provide exceptional support to students, demonstrate good behaviour and classroom assistance/management. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS Location Blackburn Position English Teacher Start date October 24 End date - July 25 Full time Minimum rate of pay GBP162.31 per day Hours 8:15AM 4:00PM EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent Previous experience working in a UK school Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however training can be provided) Up to date prevent awareness & FGM training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided) English Teaching experience in the UK required TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to obtain a new one Provide two professional references If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV today.
