We're excited to welcome a dynamic and passionate Maths Teacher to join our Blackburn team! In this rewarding role, you'll inspire and support KS3 and KS4 students on their mathematical journey. Earn a competitive daily rate of £155 to £230, based on your qualifications, experience, and teaching skills.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons to the students, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting each learner's individual progress. You will play a key role in preparing students for assessments, promoting critical thinking, and building their confidence in mathematics.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating a positive learning environment through professionally planned lessons and classroom displays
  • Using imagination and innovation to enhance the learning experience in children
  • Having control over the whole class and maintaining discipline
  • Adhering to the curriculum, including up to date changes in the structure
  • Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
  • Set homework and mark promptly
  • Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
  • Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum
  • Punctual and reliable

  • Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
  • Strong classroom management
  • Motivated and enthusiastic demeanour
  • Use imagination and innovation to enhance learning experience

Personal Attributes:

  • You will have a genuine passion for teaching
  • Experience up to key stage 3/4
  • QTS/PGCE equivalent
  • Be flexible and committed
