Job description

Prospero Teaching are recruiting a PE Teacher for an inspiring Independent SEN School located in Blackburn dedicated to supporting pupils with a focus on a specialised approach to education.

Based in Blackburn, the school is committed to promoting health and wellbeing through physical and outdoor education, tailored to meet the unique needs of its students. This is a supportive and inclusive environment where staff are empowered to develop professionally and make a meaningful impact.The role involves working predominantly with key stages 3 and 4, with a focus on delivering a creative and adaptive PE curriculum that fosters the development of physical skills, confidence, and social interaction.

The position is open to both ECTs and experienced teachers. Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • QTS, QTLS or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 Year PE Teacher
  • Experience with SEN (desirable)
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
