Field Service Engineer

Location – Based in the Northwest, around the Blackburn, Darwen, Bolton area

The customers sites are based mainly in the UK And Ireland, with some international travel.

Salary package - £40K- 45K Basic + OT = 50K + Vehicle of choice between car, van, pick up.

Holiday: 25 days + 8 Bank holiday’s

Stay away during the week required, very occasional weekends.

This well established business design and manufacture bespoke machinery sold into the food, pharmaceutical, beverage, and chemical industries.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Bias Field Service Engineer to join an experienced and settled team of service engineers,

Due to growth, our client is looking for an additional service engineer/ commissioning engineer to join their team.

The Role

You will be involved in servicing and projects work within the business to develop an effective engineering function. You will be working at large automated facilities around the UK, Ireland, and some international travel.

You will work closely with other departments to find ways to increase machine reliability on existing and new equipment, diagnose equipment attend breakdowns and action repairs. Attend meetings as required and be able to analyse data and find solutions to improve equipment performance whilst ensuring safe working practice and full communications are always maintained.

• You will be working on mechanical handling solutions such as conveyors, chutes, weighing systems, pneumatics, motors.
• The role is mechanically biased but there is also some electrical and controls work involved
• Staying away is required.

The Candidate

To be successful in your application, the service engineer must have the following skills and experience:

• Mechanically qualified to NVQ 3 as a minimum
• Must be able to fault find on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Must be willing to stay away and travel when needed.
