My client a well established manufacturing company based on the outskirts of Blackburn is seeking an experienced production worker to join their embroidery department.

As an embroidery operative, you will play a crucial role in the company's production team assisting with various tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of the entire manufacturing process. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

The working hours are Monday to Thursday 8.30 - 5pm, Friday 8.00 - 4.30pm with a 30 minutes lunch break.

Duties:

  • Assist with receiving and checking goods
  • Prepare orders for shipment
  • The right candidate would receive embroidery training to be able to finish off goods if failing on spot checks - therefore using sewing machines to perform basic sewing tasks
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment

Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred
  • Basic sewing skills are advantageous
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management is a plus
  • Ability to use computers

Skills:

  • Sewing: Proficient in basic sewing tasks and operating sewing machines
  • Warehouse: Familiarity with warehouse operations, inventory management, and safety protocols
