Residential Support Worker

  • Location: Northwest (including areas such as Bolton, Manchester, Fylde, Preston, Liverpool, Cheshire, Wirral)
  • Salary: £11.50 to £14.50 per hour

We are currently seeking compassionate and experienced Residential Support Workers to join our agency and provide exceptional care to children in residential homes across the Northwest. This role is crucial for creating a stable and supportive environment for children and requires a dedicated individual with a genuine interest in child welfare.

Day to day of the role:
  • Provide consistent and nurturing care to children within the residential setting.
  • Engage with children in activities that promote their physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure a cohesive approach to the children’s care.
  • Maintain professional and detailed records of each child’s progress and any significant incidents.
  • Support children with their daily routines, including personal care, meal times, and educational activities.
  • Actively participate in staff meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the service.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 1 year’s experience working in children’s residential homes within the UK.
  • A driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between locations.
  • Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People’s Workforce (CYPW) or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and young people.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, and 24-hour shifts.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and the welfare of children.
