Children's Social Worker Team: Safeguarding Location: BlackburnRate: £39

Blackburn with Darwen Children’s Services require a full time agency Social Worker to cover in its Safeguarding Service.

The candidate will have at least 18 months post qualification experience in Referral and Assessment and/or longer term Safeguarding/CP/Court work.

The candidate must have a SWE registration and be a car driver, with previous experience of the use of Protocol Liquid Logic an advantage but not essential.

You must have good communication skills and be a team worker with the ability to work independently and manage a caseload.

There will be both homeworking and office-based working arrangements as per the service requirements so you will be required to work flexibly.

  • Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
  • Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
  • Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
