Learning Support Assistant - Blackburn:

Prospero Teaching are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to start from January, in a school near Blackburn. You will be supporting pupils on a 1-1 basis.

Ideally, you will have previous experience supporting children with SEN.

Some pupils may present challenging behaviour and so candidates must feel confident in this environment.

THE ROLE:

  • Location: Blackburn
  • Position: Learning Support Assistant
  • Hours: 8:45am-3pm (term time only)
  • Type: Full time only
  • Minimum rate of pay: £95
  • Start date: Jan 2025
  • End date: Ongoing
  • Contract type: Temporary

EXPERIENCE:

  • Relevant experience in a school or similar setting.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs and/or social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
  • Experience of effectively and positively managing behaviour.
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable but training can be provided).

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
