We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) teacher to join our supportive team in Blackburn. This part-time role (2 full days and 3 mornings per week) will focus on delivering tailored lessons to students with special educational needs in Key Stage 2, helping them thrive academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess lessons for SEN students in Key Stage 2, ensuring their individual needs are met
  • Provide a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
  • Differentiate lessons to accommodate a range of learning abilities and needs
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and staff to implement effective SEN strategies
  • Track and report on student progress, providing feedback to both parents and staff
  • Support the emotional and social development of SEN students
  • Contribute to the wider school community and participate in school activities

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with SEN students, ideally in Key Stage 2
  • Knowledge of a range of SEN strategies and best practices
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Passion for helping students achieve their potential
  • Flexibility to work 2 full days and 3 mornings per week
