SEN Teacher - Blackburn:

Prospero Teaching are currently seeking a primary trained SEN Teacher to join a lovely school near to Blackburn. This is for a full time, long-term position, teaching children with complex needs.

The Role:

  • Developing and delivering engaging lessons
  • Differentiating learning activities to meet individual needs
  • Working collaboratively with staff and external agencies to monitor progress and EHCPs
  • De-escalating behaviour in a positive but effective manner

Position Details:

  • Location: Blackburn
  • Position: SEN teacher
  • Hours: 8am-4:30pm, Mon-Fri
  • Type of Work: Temporary
  • Full time/Part time: Full time only
  • Minimum Rate of Pay: 170 per day, depending on experience
  • Start date: ASAP
  • End date: July 2025, possibly longer

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

  • Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
  • Qualified Teacher Status is essential for this position
  • Previous experience teaching within a similar educational setting
  • Team Teach training would be highly desired

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional references
