Our client is seeking a Laminator Fitter to join their dynamic production team. The Laminator Fitter plays a vital role in manufacturing lightweight, durable structures using composite materials such as carbon fiber. This hands-on position involves assembling, fitting, and bonding materials to deliver components that meet exacting aerospace standards.
Job Desciption:
- Prepare moulds and work surfaces, including cleaning and applying release agents.
- Lay up, cut, and fit composite materials following engineering drawings and specifications.
- Apply resin and bonding agents with precision to ensure quality adhesion.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments to assemble and finish components.
- Conduct quality inspections to identify and correct any defects, ensuring strict adherence to tolerances.Trim, sand, and finish parts to achieve the desired dimensions and surface finishes.
- Collaborate with team leaders and quality control to maintain high standards.
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in tool and equipment maintenance as needed.
- Previous experience in laminating, fitting, or a related manufacturing role.
- Understanding of composite materials and laminating techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions.
- Proficiency with tools and equipment used in laminating and fitting.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
