Our client is seeking a Laminator Fitter to join their dynamic production team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge aerospace projects, working with high-quality composite materials to produce world-class components. The Laminator Fitter plays a vital role in manufacturing lightweight, durable structures using composite materials such as carbon fiber. This hands-on position involves assembling, fitting, and bonding materials to deliver components that meet exacting aerospace standards.

Job Desciption:
  • Prepare moulds and work surfaces, including cleaning and applying release agents.
  • Lay up, cut, and fit composite materials following engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Apply resin and bonding agents with precision to ensure quality adhesion.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments to assemble and finish components.
  • Conduct quality inspections to identify and correct any defects, ensuring strict adherence to tolerances.Trim, sand, and finish parts to achieve the desired dimensions and surface finishes.
  • Collaborate with team leaders and quality control to maintain high standards.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Assist in tool and equipment maintenance as needed.
Experience/ Skills:
  • Previous experience in laminating, fitting, or a related manufacturing role.
  • Understanding of composite materials and laminating techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions.
  • Proficiency with tools and equipment used in laminating and fitting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physically fit and capable of working in a hands-on environment.
