We are in search of a committed Foundation Learning Tutor with a zeal for teaching life skills and a background in Further Education, especially in supporting SEND students. This role is a unique opportunity to profoundly influence the lives of students by creating an inclusive learning environment and providing vital life skills education.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and effective life skills lessons, tailored to the needs of SEND students.
  • Develop, implement, and review individual learning plans to support student progress.
  • Assess student achievements, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods to individual needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to foster an inclusive and supportive educational environment.
  • Engage in professional development to enhance teaching practices and contribute to the wider learning community.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A degree in Education or a related field (level 4 and above).
  • A teaching qualification relevant to the Further Education sector.
  • Experience as a Foundation Learning Tutor, with a focus on life skills education.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with SEND students and adapt teaching methods for diverse learning needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and inspire students.
  • DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
