We are seeking enthusiastic Food Technology teachers in Blackburn to inspire and guide our KS3 and KS4 students. This role offers competitive daily rates, ranging from £155 to £230, based on your qualifications, experience, and teaching expertise.

In this role, you will inspire students to be creative in the kitchen while promoting healthy eating and food safety. The ideal candidate will help students develop important skills for life and encourage their interest in food technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
  • Develop approach to self - directed learning, use technology to support learning
  • Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
  • Set homework and mark promptly
  • Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
  • Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
  • Respond to questioning
