Our client, a well-established domestic retrofit company, is launching a new division specialising in cavity wall insulation. They are seeking a Cavity Wall Installer to spearhead this new business arm, playing a pivotal role in its growth and development.

This is a hands-on role, initially split 50/50 between site and office, where the successful candidate will be expected to carry out installations of cavity wall insulation, order materials and manage stock, plan and project manage insulation jobs from start to finish.

Cavity Wall Installer

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out cavity wall insulation installations to the highest industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Oversee and lead a small team of installers as the division grows.
  • Plan and coordinate installation schedules, ensuring efficient project delivery.
  • Manage labour resources, ensuring teams are allocated effectively.
  • Ensure all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
  • Order materials and equipment, ensuring all necessary supplies are on-site as required.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to maintain efficient operations.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate deliveries.
  • Assist in developing operational processes and best practices for the new division.
  • Work closely with senior management to drive business growth in cavity wall insulation.
  • Maintain accurate project records, job costing, and compliance documentation.
  • Liaise with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and service.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in cavity wall insulation (essential).
  • Strong understanding of domestic retrofit and energy efficiency schemes.
  • Experience leading installation teams or supervising projects.
  • Ability to manage site and office responsibilities effectively.
  • Knowledge of health & safety regulations and best practices.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Comfortable using CRMs, software, spreadsheets etc.
