Our client is a well-established Manufacturing company based in Blackburn who are looking to add a Semi Skilled Joiner/Assembly operative to their expanding team. The company prides itself in manufacturing high quality bespoke furniture.
The purpose of the role is;
- To assist senior joiners in the assembling of bespoke furniture
- Using various hand tools such as crosscut saws, Cutter moulding machines, Band saws and 4 side planers
- Learning various types of machinery on site
- Unloading and stacking timber
- Other duties, as required, that would reasonably be allocated to an Assembly operative.
The Person
- A willingness to learn how to set up and run the machines, under supervision
- Helping senior Wood Machinist
- Backing off machines and stacking timber
- Cleaning
- Great attention to detail
- Ideally worked in a woodworking environment
- A willingness to learn new skills.
