Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook to join our client's team on a 3-6 month contract at their care home in Edinburgh. You will be responsible for preparing breakfast, lunch, dinner, and morning/afternoon tea trays for their 99 residents, ensuring that food quality is consistently high and meets dietary requirements. You will be part of a team of 6 in the kitchen, supporting one another to deliver excellent service while improving the quality of the meals.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, dinner, and tea trays for residents
Support the kitchen team in daily tasks
Ensure the quality and nutritional value of meals meets standards
Manage stock control and adhere to budget guidelines
Maintain high levels of cleanliness and food safety
Collaborate with the team to continuously improve food offerings
Key Skills & Experience:
Experience in a similar kitchen role, preferably in a care home or large-scale catering
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Proactive attitude and a willingness to contribute to continuous improvement
