Your new companyA public sector organisation based in Blackpool are looking to recruit an internal auditor as part of their internal audit team. This job opportunity has arisen due to an internal restructure and is a great opportunity for an experienced auditor to thrive within a busy Audit & Risk division.Your new role You will join the organisation's large audit and risk division in their Blackpool office who are responsible for delivering a range of services, including compliance-based audits and risk-based audits under the supervision of team leaders. This is a busy team comprised of 10 individuals and your client base will include, but is not limited, the education sector.Day to day job duties as an internal auditor will include preparing audit documentation, performing testing, analysing the results and preparing audit reports. There is also the opportunity to gain exposure to complex and strategic risk-based audit reviews alongside the lead auditors. What you'll need to succeedThe hiring manager is seeking an experienced internal auditor who ideally has exposure to both risk-based and compliance audits within the public sector. Ideally, you will be studying towards or have a relevant qualification in one of the following AAT, CIIA, CCAB, CMIAA, ACA or ACCA. You must be able to demonstrate good report writing skills and the ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders.
