Company Details and Job Overview:Kenton Black Finance have partnered with a public sector organisation in Blackpool to recruit a new Internal Auditor. Working as part of the Internal Audit Team, the new Internal Auditor will be responsible for carrying out risk based reviews, making recommendations to management where appropriate.Key Benefits/ Rewards on Offer:• Competitive starting salary with annual pay increases and periodic pay reviews• Hybrid working – 3 days in the office per week• Flexitime working arrangement• 25 days annual leave entitlement increasing with length of service up to 31 days• Local Government Pension SchemeYour New Role as Internal Auditor:Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit and Risk, as Internal Auditor duties will include:• Providing advice on risk and control issues to management• Adhering with relevant standards in the audit manual• Producing audit reports presenting issues concisely and communicating findings to management• Preparing audit documentation, performing testing and evaluating results within budget, to an appropriate level of quality• Performing audit tests, interpreting results and forming appropriate conclusions with evidence• Identifying key risks and controls in various systems• Building and maintaining strong relationships with relevant stakeholdersExperience & Qualifications Required to Apply:Full qualification is required (CIMA/ACCA/ACA/CIPFA), with internal audit experience. Ideally you will have local government knowledge with understanding of financial regulations and internal audit principles. Strong report writing skills are required along with good communication and interpersonal skills.
