This leading UK manufacturing business provides innovate equipment and solutions to a commercial and domestic customer base. Well established with almost 100 years of trading history, they benefit from a legacy of traditional craftsmanship combined with the support of a parent company with a global reach. An exciting opportunity has now arisen for an experienced Management Accountant as they are looking to grow this division having received substantial investment on the site.
The preferred candidate for this role would ideally have experience from the manufacturing sector, preferably with some knowledge of working with an ERP system. The role will involve positive engagement with other departments, helping solve their problems and driving improvement through collaboration on projects. The ability to multi task and be flexible will there for be essential. Reporting directly to the Finance Controller the main duties will include:
- Preparation of month end management accounts to strict deadlines
- Develop and improve manufacturing accounting reporting, processes and procedures
- Liaison with Production on product costings and stock takes
- Balance sheet reconciliations including Inter Company Balances on a monthly basis
- Cash Flow management and forecasting
- Supporting the Finance Controller in the day to day running of the accounts department
- Managing daily and weekly KPIs
- Complete quarterly VAT return, EC sales and UK statistical returns
- Maintenance of Fixed Asset Registers
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
- Assisting the team with any queries
The successful candidate would ideally be qualified or studying towards CIMA / ACCA, strong QBE accountants with relevant experience will also be considered, particularly if able to demonstrate good knowledge of factory processes.
