Management Accountant

Location: Blackpool

Salary: Up to £40,000 (Dependent on Experience)

We are partnering with a prominent Blackpool based manufaacturer to recruit a full-time, permanent Management Accountant. Our client operates on a national scale, working closely with a variety of partners. They are on an exciting growth trajectory with emerging market opportunities.

Role Overview: The Management Accountant will play a key role within the finance team, managing the accounts for the company's trading entities. This crucial position involves delivering accurate financial reporting and providing insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing management accounts, including journal entries and financial reporting.
  • Analyse financial performance and explain variances.
  • Prepare detailed contract-level reports for management review.
  • Perform month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support the annual external audit process.
  • Maintain strong financial controls in line with the company's reporting standards.
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to optimize the working capital cycle.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Part-qualified accounting professional (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
  • Proven experience in managing accounts from start to finish.
  • Proficient in financial systems.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the business.
