A Blackpool based SME are experiencing significant growth and have created a new Management Accountant role. This is a diverse and hands on role which will provide exposure across the full spectrum of finance, offering a variety of business facing duties involving engaging with key stakeholders in the business.

Your New Role as Management Accountant:

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, specific responsibilities will include:

Production of the monthly management accounts pack providing commentary
Balance sheet reconciliations
Posting journals, accruals and prepayments
VAT returns
Supporting with year end accounting and audit
Supporting with budget preparation
Cash flow forecasting
Covering purchase ledger and sales ledger when required
Provision of ad hoc reports and analysis to facilitate effective decision making
Involvement in various projects which will include streamlining and developing existing systems and processes

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

The ideal candidate will have exposure to the month end management accounting process and be keen to build on these skills. Part qualification is preferred and a comprehensive study package will be available if required. Strong Excel ability is required as you will be required to handle and manipulate large data volumes on a daily basis. Additionally, good communication skills are imperative as you will adopt a business partnering capacity and will often be required to communicate key financial findings to a variety of stakeholders at all levels.
