My client is currently looking for an Administrator to join their corporate actions team in Blackpool.Role responsibilities

  • To identify and process corporate actions on clients' holdings
  • To identify and process market claims on corporate actions
  • To provide investors with clear information about corporate actions where appropriate and seek instruction for further action
  • To confirm instructions are carried out in line with investors' requirements
  • Monitor all group email boxes
  • Run order books, tasks & reports in Avaloq to monitor corporate actions being updated, pending and forthcoming events
  • To update and reconcile all records of event actions
  • To carry out various administrative duties including filing, scanning and photocopying
  • To provide administrative support for clients and Executives undertaking corporate event transactions
  • To provide cover for any other member of the corporate actions team in Blackpool
  • Assist with all testing for both fixes and upgrades
  • Adhere to department procedures

Competencies

  • An understanding of corporate actions would be advantageous
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Ability to follow procedures and make recommendations for improvement
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Aptitude for numbers
  • Ability to learn and apply regulations escalating areas of concern or issue in a timely manner
  • Understanding of working in a regulated environment
