Your new companyThis college is based in Blackpool and has an excellent reputation as a training & education provider of choice in the Lancashire area due to the high performance of the organisation over a number of years. The college has a well established IT team, where new roles have recently been introduced due to growth and numerous projects running concurrently, and this Business Analyst role will also join the IT team reporting to the IT Director. Your new roleAs Business Analyst, you will be responsible for collaborating with senior stakeholders across the organisation to both gather and analyse data, mapping processes and then assisting in executing projects, whilst also overseeing a team of 5. On a daily basis, you will be collecting and analysing data in relation to organisational processes, allowing you to develop a strong knowledge of how processes can be streamlined. This will involve liaising with various stakeholders across the business to ensure clear communication of requirements, solutions and then translating this into a technical brief for the wider IT and projects team. You will be required to create and produce detailed reports based on the information collated across the organisation, including mapping processes. Working closely with the IT Director and IT Project Manager, you will be evaluating and scoping processes in relation to improvement projects, the majority of which relate to digitisation and increasing efficiency in relation to projects. As a Business Analyst, you will also take responsibility for a team of developers, consisting of a team of 5 where you will be required to complete regular reviews and ensure that the team is kept on task, producing the results required by the organisation. This is a role which will develop and grow over time, and therefore, an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst looking to continue to develop their skills. What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful in securing this position, you will possess recent Business Analyst experience, with specific experience around process improvement and supporting the delivery of technical projects. Excellent communication skills are required as you will be liaising with stakeholders on a daily basis and the passion to provide a high level of analysis is also essential. In addition, experience in managing, training or mentoring a team would also be beneficial, as well as public sector or education sector experience.
