Description of Work
Support a caseload of participants (unemployed adults) to address their barriers to gaining employment with tailored support to achieve and sustain good quality employment.
This can include supported job search, re-training for a different sector, restoring self-confidence for work and motivational support to build positive relationships, guide, inspire, challenge, and encourage.
The post holder will manage their caseload to ensure individual and service targets and deadlines are met, along with the quality and compliance requirements of the contract, whilst ensuring individual participant satisfaction. Typical Work Tasks ï‚·
Managing a caseload to ensure the needs of individuals are met
Assessing (using various tools and techniques) individuals’ abilities, interests, and achievements to fully understand their personal circumstances, ambitions and goals.
Assisting individuals to identify short and/or long-term career goals and support them to develop strategies to achieve their goals. ï‚· Produce, with the customer, personalised tailored Action Plans featuring SMART targeting to enable positive and timely progression.
Provide tailored support in all aspects of employability skills including job-search and interview preparation to ensure that individuals are matched to the right job that enables them to sustain employment, including identification of skills and experience, CV writing, completion of application forms, interview practice and in work support.
QUALIFICATIONS
GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths at Grade C or above (essential)
Level 4 professional qualification or degree in relevant subject area (desirable)
EXPERIENCE
Working with disadvantage, disaffected and vulnerable individuals
Working individually and with groups of young people or adults providing high quality information and advice or personnel developments activities.
