This country gastro pub is seeking a talented Sous Chef to take the reins in the kitchen under the guidance of our Head Chef. The teams desire is to drive the kitchen to the next level through delicious using locally sourced fresh ingredients to create seasonal menus. The successful Sous Chef will be able to deliver high standards consistently and will assist the Head Chef in managing the team to deliver Award-winning Gastro dishes. Sous Chef Ideal Profile:

Experienced Sous Chef or Chef de Partie with a passion for creating exceptional food experiences for customers

Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills

Demonstrated ability to work in a small team to deliver high-quality food consistently and efficiently

Strong financial acumen, including knowledge of stock management, cost control, and budgeting

Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards, with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement

Sous Chef Responsibilities:

Assist the Head Chef in creating and managing seasonal menus

Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation

Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards

Collaborate with the team to ensure a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for customers

Support the Head Chef in maintaining accurate records of stock and inventory
