Senior Energy & Carbon Analyst

Location: Bristol or Blackpool

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000

Role Overview:

As a Senior Energy & Carbon Analyst within the Bureau team,  you will play a pivotal role in managing energy queries, analysing meter reads, handling tenant recharges, processing tenancy changes, and creating detailed reports for clients. This position requires a high level of customer service through accurate utility invoice validation and delivering customer satisfaction through efficient service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a superior client experience to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage queries across various channels, ensuring alignment with KPIs.
  • Develop and enhance systems, processes, and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Validate electricity and gas invoices, ensuring accuracy through tariff-based checks.
  • Maintain databases with precise data in a timely manner.
  • Review and analyse costs of batches of invoices, comparing them against previous periods to identify and address anomalies.
  • Raise and resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers promptly.
  • Oversee tenancy changes, including processing and follow-up actions.
  • Support the creation and delivery of monthly/scheduled recharge invoices to tenants.
  • Calculate targets, budgets, and review on-accounts as needed.
  • Provide regular performance and portfolio-wide reports to clients.
  • Manage new connections and disconnections within the team.
  • Offer proactive status updates on projects in the requirement and solution stages.
  • Drive continuous improvements in billing systems and processes.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrated interest in the energy industry.
  • Experience in a team environment, with the ability to influence and support team members in achieving KPIs and handling complex tasks.
  • Proven ability to manage and oversee team workload to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all components of electricity and gas bills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to support team collaboration and liaise with suppliers and clients.
  • Proactive, self-motivated attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, with experience in data manipulation, formatting, and formula creation.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
