If so, you might be the perfect candidate for this interim role of school science technician at our school based in Blackpool!Your new roleThis is a vibrant and inclusive school that aims to provide an excellent education for all its students. We are looking for a school science/lab technician to join their friendly and supportive science department. You will work closely with the science teachers to prepare and maintain the equipment and materials for practical experiments and demonstrations.

You will also assist in the health and safety management of the laboratories and ensure that all relevant policies and procedures are followed.

This is a full time position on a long term, temporary, basis for at least a term initially. What you'll need to succeed

  • A relevant vocational qualification in laboratory or science-related activities or equivalent experience
  • A good knowledge of scientific techniques, equipment and materials
  • A commitment to health and safety in schools
  • A strong commitment to supporting students' learning and achievement
  • A flexible and proactive approach to work
