We are currently seeking an experienced Data and Privacy Manager to inform and advise FSB and its employees on data security, data protection and GDPR.

What will you do?

This is an interesting and varied role. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the information governance and data and privacy accountability framework, project support, training and development and line management as well as business as usual tasks.

Key Areas of Accountability include:

  • Monitoring and advising on FSBs compliance with data protection law and good practice and championing the highest standards in data protection.
  • Leading on the development and effective management of FSBs information security, privacy management and accountability frameworks, including relevant policies and practices to ensure they are in line with the GDPR and other relevant legislation.
  • Managing data and privacy policy and practice throughout FSB in line with the relevant laws and ICO guidance
  • Managing the GDPR accountability principle by the maintenance and development of an appropriate framework
  • Conducting internal audits to ensure FSB policy and procedure is adheredto
  • Ensuring adequate data mapping and DPIAs are undertaken and recorded as appropriate
  • Developing/enhancing the information security and personal information management systems (ISMS and PIMS)
  • Ensuring all new and in flight projects are supported with the appropriate level of data and privacy expertise
  • Advising the business on relevant case law and other legal and regulatory developments
  • Managing the network of departmental Data Champions to ensure they have the skills and tools to support their data activity
  • Managing the Data ProtectionAssistant
Who are we lookingfor?

The ideal candidate will have the followingexperience:

  • Substantial experience working with in a data privacy and compliance environment
  • Working knowledge of compliance with UKGDPR, Data Protection Act and PECR in practice as well as cyber security
  • Management of data and privacy issues in a large,multi siteorganisation
  • Reporting to Board levelstakeholders
  • Training and developingothers
  • Experience of implementing privacy and data protection compliance programmes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solvingskills
  • Good communications kills and the ability to summarise technical and legal issues and explain them clearly
