We are looking for enthusiastic ECT's to support our Primary schools across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre to start from wc-24th February 2025. If you're passionate, enthusiastic, dedicated and understand the importance of Primary Education then we would love to have you on board! KS1 and 2 opportunities will be available, both long-term and short depending on your availability and suitability to schools.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your classroom management skills, experience a variety of settings and learn more about varying curriculum's and schemes across schools. In the past supply work has been very successful at developing your skills and success with applications for long-term and permanent roles.
Depending on your availability and preference, we have the below opportunities available:
For day-to-day support, the role of a supply teacher is an important one. It involves confidently working to a different set plan each day to continue raising the attainment of each child in their class teacher's absence. The work will be pre-planned, you will be expected to deliver the work to a high standard and complete full marking in the teacher's absence. This is a great option for a flexible work life balance. Daily cover rates start from £120+ based on experience.
Long term roles will require a successful candidate to plan, prepare and mark their own class resources and work. You may be asked to support with termly reports and parents evenings etc. This role comes with the full responsibility of the class teacher and requires such commitment. An interview and class observation will be required as part of the school application. Rates for long-term work will differ from day to day and for short-term support, these roles can typically last for the full academic year. The next 6 weeks is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door before the January resignation deadline when schools will be considering replacement staff. Long-term roles start from £160 per day.
