Your new companyHays education have been approached by a primary school in Blackpool who are looking to appoint a Year 2 Teaching Assistant. The school are looking for both new and experienced Teaching Assistants to join their team. This is a full-time role to start ASAP, and if successful, will be extended until Christmas at a minimum. Your new roleAs a teaching assistant, you are responsible for providing support and assistance to the pupils, whether it be in a group or 1:1 setting, as well as supporting the class teacher. There is always the potential to move round different year groups depending on the schools' needs, so you will need to be flexible and adapt your skills to meet the needs of the children. This is particularly important when working with any SEN children. By being a teaching assistant, you should possess good behaviour management skills and hit the ground running by building up those relationships with pupils as well as staff. There is currently a high demand for teaching assistants in the Preston area, so please get in touch if you would like to know more or discuss the roles available.What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful in securing this position, recent experience working with children within the last 2 years would be beneficial, for example, in an education setting or as a support worker. As the schools are recruiting immediately, it would be ideal if you can jump straight into the role, however, do not let this put you off applying, as we are always receiving new roles.
