We have a fantastic Locum LADO opportunity based within a childrens social work team in the Blackpool, Lancashire area.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and provide professional advice on allegations against individuals working with children
- Ensure effective mechanisms for timely and appropriate progression of allegations to protect children from harm.
- Chair complex multi-agency and multi-professional meetings.
- Represent the Local Authority in multi-partnership meetings.
- Performance management, audit cases, allocate cases, and manage resources effectively.
- Manage the Duty System, hold strategy discussions with police, and progress cases appropriately.
To be considered for the Deputy LADO role ideally you will have:
- Significant experience of working as a social worker ideally as a senior social worker within a children's social work setting
- Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Experience of chairing child protection conferences and reviews.
- Diploma/Degree in Social Work.
- SWE registration.
