We have a fantastic Locum LADO opportunity based within a childrens social work team in the Blackpool, Lancashire area.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and provide professional advice on allegations against individuals working with children
  • Ensure effective mechanisms for timely and appropriate progression of allegations to protect children from harm.
  • Chair complex multi-agency and multi-professional meetings.
  • Represent the Local Authority in multi-partnership meetings.
  • Performance management, audit cases, allocate cases, and manage resources effectively.
  • Manage the Duty System, hold strategy discussions with police, and progress cases appropriately.

To be considered for the Deputy LADO role ideally you will have:

  • Significant experience of working as a social worker ideally as a senior social worker within a children's social work setting
  • Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience of chairing child protection conferences and reviews.
  • Diploma/Degree in Social Work.
  • SWE registration.
