Are you an experienced Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) with experience of supporting Cared for Children?

Responsibilities:
- Build strong, supportive relationships with Cared for Children on your caseload.
- Chair statutory reviews, including children placed for adoption, ensuring care plans meet their needs.
- Collaborate with other agencies to ensure coordinated care, in line with statutory requirements for Cared for Children.
- Promote high-quality service provision and facilitate effective communication between relevant agencies.
- Maintain the child's voice as central to care planning, challenging decisions where necessary to ensure the best outcomes.
- Adhere to deadlines and performance indicators while driving partnership working to enhance the child's lived experience.
To be considered for the role, ideally you will have
- BSc Social Work or equivalent qualification.
- Social Work England registration.
- Strong experience as an IRO working with Cared for Children.
- In-depth knowledge of legal frameworks, statutory legislation, and guidance.
- Ability to promote collaboration and meet deadlines while focusing on improving children's outcomes.
