We are looking for two lunch time welfare assistants to support between the hours of 11:30-1:30 Monday - Friday, term time only. Pay for the role will be £16 per hour due to the reduced hours. Ideally you will be someone that has a Level 1 in food and hygiene or previous experience supporting schools or nursery provisions with lunch time support. First Aid certificates are desirable but not essential.
If successful, you will be responsible for:
- To work as part of a team supporting and assisting pupils' accessing the dining and recreational facilities.
- Provide first aid where required, including administering medicines and provide medical support to pupils. A current First Aid certificate would be an advantage but not essential.
- Keep dining areas clean and clear of hazards
- Assist with other activities including, setting out and storing equipment.
- Help to manage lunch time pupil behaviour, queues for school dinners and taking children to and from tables.
- Sweep floors and wipe tables after use.
- Manage pupil behaviour during recreational and dining activities, reporting any issues and incidents in line with school policies.
The location for this role is Blackpool, we have multiple Primary schools in the heart of Blackpool seeking Welfare support Assistants on agency. If you are a successful match and interested in a permanent position, there is potential for this to transfer to the school under a permanent contract for the same hours/ times - 10 hrs per week.
