Are you a recent Psychology graduate looking to start your career in a supportive and challenging role? Do you have a passion for working with young people who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We have an exciting opportunity for a Psychology Graduate Support Worker to join an Alternative Provision within Blackpool!

The role involves working with students who require extra support with their emotional and behavioural needs, helping them to access the curriculum and make progress in their learning.

As a Psychology Graduate Support Worker, you will be working closely with our team of experienced professionals to develop and deliver bespoke interventions and support strategies that meet the individual needs of each student.

This is a temporary position with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate. The role is full-time, working 5 days a week from 8.30am to 3.30pm. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering targeted interventions and support strategies to students with SEMH needs
  • Working closely with teaching staff to ensure that support is integrated into the curriculum.
  • Providing feedback and progress reports to parents and other professionals
  • Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Key Requirements:

  • A degree in Psychology or a related subject
  • Experience of working with young people with SEMH needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A positive and resilient attitude
