Job description

A known school near Central Drive in Blackpool are currently looking for an experienced SEMH Teaching assistant to work 1-1 with a young pupil who struggles with the transition from asmall to a large group of pupils.

This pupil presents issues that could be considered social, emotional and mental health issues therefore requires specialist attention.

The candidate must have:

. Level 2 qualified

. Experience as an SEN / SEMH Teaching assistant as a minimum.

. An ability to deal with conflict with SEN /SEMH pupils and have proven techniques to deescalate situations.

. Experience working 1-1 with SEN pupils or small group experience.

. Empathetic

. Understand the pupils with SEMH complex needs.

. Right to work in the UK

. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application

. Two years of references.
