LRL are currently recruiting for a Service Engineer / Plant Mechanic for a well-established engineering and manufacturing company based in Blackpool.
Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 per annum + Overtime
Hours: 40hours per week, Monday - Thursday, 8:00am-17:00pm and Friday 8:00am - 14:30pm. Overtime available.
Responsibilities
- To carry out safety critical repairs, modifications and maintenance to road/rail excavators and equipment used within the rail industry, in the workshop, at customer's facilities or on site as required.
- Assist in the ongoing manufacture of new and innovative machinery
- The repair and maintenance of plant and equipment, including modifications and upgrades of plant and machinery
- Examination and repair of faults on plant and equipment
- Diagnostics testing
- Evaluate information and data interpretation of technical information
- Installing safety and productivity systems to machinery
- Assembling and testing of new build machinery
- Provide support in special projects/scheduled servicing of vehicles and plant
Required Qualifications
- NVQ 3 or equivalent - in engineering trade
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- An eye for detail and good design
- Excellent numeracy skills
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent people and time management skills
- The ability to work well both as part of a team and on your own
- PTS Certification (desirable)
- Road/Rail maintenance competency certificate (desirable)
- Forklift truck driving (desirable)
