About the role:

Our success at designing innovative new products is attributable to our commitment to excellent Research, Development and Product Design. To ensure ongoing group expansion, an opportunity exists to join our engineering section within our Product Design team.

We are ideally seeking a candidate with experience of plastic moulding, toolmaking or manufacturing. Qualifications in Engineering, Manufacturing or Design may be beneficial.

The successful candidate with be provided with full and comprehensive support and training.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Approve production tooling.
  • Supply chain liaison.
  • View and review tooling trials (potential for overseas travel).
  • Dimensional checking of components.
  • Audit and improve production assembly methods.
  • Conduct time and motion studies.
  • Management and control of existing tooling.
  • Design and develop production jigging (3D CAD and 3D printing).
  • Produce 2D component and assembly drawings.
  • Produce parts lists and bills of materials.

Ideal Candidate Background:

  • Knowledge of a wide range of manufacturing processes.
  • Technically minded.
  • Some engineering, manufacturing or design experience.
  • To be familiar with CAD software (SolidWorks)
  • Be confident and pro-active.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • Have a friendly and professional attitude.
  • Good communicator.
  • Full, clean driving licence.
