The Role:
Are you passionate about empowering individuals to achieve their employment goals? We’re seeking a Programme Manager to lead the delivery of an impactful welfare-to-work/employment support programme in Blackpool. You’ll manage a dedicated team, oversee performance, ensure financial accountability, and collaborate with key stakeholders and commissioners to deliver measurable outcomes.

Duties:

  • Lead the strategic and operational delivery of employment support programmes.
  • Develop and implement tailored customer journey plans, including assessments and return-to-work strategies.
  • Manage and motivate a team, setting clear targets and providing regular supervision.
  • Collaborate with partners, including DWP, training providers, and local employers, to create opportunities for participants.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and funding requirements while maintaining accurate records.
  • Oversee budgets and produce audit-ready financial claims to secure programme funding.

Required Skills:

  • Level 4 qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience in managing employment support services.
  • Strong project management skills, ideally with a qualification in the field.
  • Knowledge of employment policies and the needs of individuals with health conditions or complex barriers to employment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven experience in managing budgets, staff, and complex projects across multiple stakeholders.


Due to the nature of this role, you will need to undertake a basic DBS check if successful in this position.
