Salary: 20 per hour + bonus (dependent on experience)
About the Role: The ideal candidate will be responsible for carrying out mechanical, electrical, and trim (MET) repairs as well as panel beating to restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality workmanship and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out MET and panel beating repairs on a variety of vehicles.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
- Strip and refit vehicle components to facilitate body repairs.
- Repair or replace damaged body panels, ensuring alignment and finish meet industry standards.
- Work to high-quality standards and within agreed timeframes.
- Use specialist tools and equipment efficiently and safely
Requirements:
- Proven experience in MET and/or panel beating within a body shop or accident repair centre.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Body Repair, ATA Accreditation) are desirable.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanics, electrics, and bodywork repair techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Full UK driving licence preferred
