We are currently seeking a dynamic PE Teacher to join a school in Preston on a long-term basis starting in January. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of the curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to creating an engaging learning environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; experience with KS5 is advantageous.
- Utilise strong subject knowledge to enhance student learning and meet curriculum standards.
- Maintain effective classroom management and discipline.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance teaching practices and learning experiences.
- Assess, monitor, and report on the progress of students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Recent relevant experience teaching PE at KS3 and KS4; KS5 experience is beneficial.
- Demonstrated excellence in classroom practice.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Reliable, committed, and capable of acting as a good role model for students.
- Must be punctual, patient, and confident when working with children.
