We are currently seeking a dynamic PE Teacher to join a school in Preston on a long-term basis starting in January. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of the curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to creating an engaging learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; experience with KS5 is advantageous.
  • Utilise strong subject knowledge to enhance student learning and meet curriculum standards.
  • Maintain effective classroom management and discipline.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance teaching practices and learning experiences.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on the progress of students.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Recent relevant experience teaching PE at KS3 and KS4; KS5 experience is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated excellence in classroom practice.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Reliable, committed, and capable of acting as a good role model for students.
  • Must be punctual, patient, and confident when working with children.
