We're eager to welcome a talented and enthusiastic English teacher to our Blackpool team! Your skills and passion will be crucial in motivating and guiding our KS3 and KS4 students. In exchange for your dedication, you'll receive a competitive daily pay rate ranging from £155 to £230, based on your qualifications and experience.

In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping students understanding of language and literature while nurturing their creativity and critical thinking skills. Your responsibilities will include designing and delivering engaging lessons to students, encouraging them to explore various literary genres and themes. You will assess student performance, provide personalised feedback, and adapt your teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating a positive learning environment through professionally planned lessons and classroom displays
  • Using imagination and innovation to enhance the learning experience in children
  • Having control over the whole class and maintaining discipline
  • Adhering to the curriculum, including up to date changes in the structure
  • Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
  • Set homework and mark promptly
  • Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
  • Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
  • Strong subject knowledge
  • Punctual and reliable

  • Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
  • Strong classroom management

Personal Attributes:
