Our client, a well-established design business, requires creative, ambitious and enthusiastic Retail Assistant / Trainee Sewing & Embroidery Specialist for their busy and successful retail outlet and online store.
Reporting to the Managing Director, duties to include:
路 Advising customers on new products, designs and customising products.
路 Receiving and processing shipments and deliveries
路 Creating visually appealing merchandising display for new products and offers
路 Responding to online orders and enquiries
路 Keeping up to date with product information to advise customers and make recommendations effectively.
路 Auditing the price of inventory regularly
路 Managing point-of-sale processes
路 Describing the features and benefits of products to shoppers to increase sales.
路 Addressing and resolving customer complaints, such as returns and refunds, to improve satisfaction and loyalty.
路 Performing regular machine and inventory inspections and reporting any issues or reordering stock as required.
路 Selecting the thread, fabric and designs appropriate to each project.
路 Setting up machines and supervising the embroidery process.
路 Perform other duties as assigned by Operations Manager.
As an ideal candidate you will have a background in a customer service/retail role and any experience with sewing machines or within a creative field could be beneficial but not essential as full training will be given. A working knowledge of POS equipment and or ecommerce would also be an advantage.
