About the role

This role will mainly encompass transporting young people from their home addresses to school in the morning and back home in the afternoon. Some roles may involve supervising a contact or transporting to contact where the young people meet with their families.

This is a role where staff are willing to use their own vehicle to transport young people of a low challenging nature.

Duties include:

  • You will be required to ensure that our children and young people are provided with the highest quality of care and to assist them reaching their full potential.
  • To ensure children's safety and well-being is appropriately protected at all times.
  • To promote education and ensure they are transported on time
  • To provide detailed written notes for each shift.
  • To professionally liaise with professionals.
  • Uphold essential safeguarding.
  • To effectively communicate with the service user and professionals.

The young people involved in these placements can have a range of needs, including:

  • Neglect
  • Experienced drug use
  • Experienced physical abuse
  • Experienced drug misuse
  • ADHD

Criteria for these roles are:

  • Child and Adult DBS - on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • 1 year + experience in a support worker role either with children or young adults
  • References covering the last 3 years
  • Business insured driver or someone willing to obtain business insurance - Required
