Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of others? We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our dedicated team in Blackpool.

About the Role:As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in our supported living services, assisting adults with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, mental health issues, and challenging behaviours. Your primary focus will be to empower individuals and support them in all aspects of their daily lives within a homely environment.

You will work as part of a dynamic team to provide comprehensive support, helping individuals develop living skills, build relationships, and become active members of their community. This includes assisting with personal care, medication administration, daily living tasks, and managing tenancies as clients transition to more independent living.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality support tailored to individual needs.
  • Provide personal care, check-in visits, and assistance with daily living tasks.
  • Encourage independent living and promote activities chosen by the clients.
  • Communicate effectively with families and external agencies.
  • Ensure the smooth running of support services, including health and safety and administration tasks.
  • Collaborate with your team to enhance the quality of support provided.
  • Contribute positively to the organisation's values and community reputation.
  • Complete administrative duties as required by your manager.

Ideal Candidates Will:

  • Be fully flexible across 7 days, working a rota that may include long day shifts.
  • Follow detailed care plans and accurately maintain daily logs.
  • Show adaptability in creative approaches when working with individuals displaying complex behaviours.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills and practical experience in dealing with challenging behaviour.
  • Work collaboratively within a team while also being comfortable with lone working.
  • Have experience in diverse settings, meeting the cultural needs of those we support.
  • Contribute to our digital platforms to raise awareness of our work and vision.
  • Demonstrate resilience and the confidence to seek support when needed.

What You Need:

  • A genuine passion for care and a commitment to supporting the progression of others.
  • Basic computer literacy, along with English and Math skills.
