Locum Opportunity: Qualified Social Worker - Adults Community Team, Blackpool. Earn £30.66 per hour on a three-month assignment. Full-time, Reports To: Team Manager/Deputy Team Manager  .We are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and skilled social worker to join Blackpool's Adults Community team. Working within the vibrant community of Blackpool, you’ll engage with adults to understand their support needs, aiming to enhance their independence and prevent future issues. Your role will be pivotal in identifying resources, collaborating with voluntary groups, and working closely with commissioned services.As a full-time locum social worker, you'll leverage your robust knowledge of the legislative frameworks related to adult social care. Your autonomy, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities will drive your success. What you will do:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and reviews in line with the Care Act (2014) and departmental policies.
  • Engage in safeguarding procedures, acting as Safeguarding Lead if required.
  • Collaborate with other teams, carers, providers, and external agencies to deliver outcomes-focused services.
  • Maintain and broaden your knowledge of current social care issues and legislation.
  • Utilise departmental IT systems for accurate record-keeping and compliance with administrative procedures.

Requirements: 

  • Degree in Professional Social Work or equivalent social work qualification such as: Dipsw
  • Registered with SWE(Social Work England)
