Office based, with flexibility to work from home.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Social Worker to join our community Social Work team. Your role will involve working with adults to identify and understand their support requirements and to meet these in a way that both maximises independence and helps prevent future need.

Using person centred approaches this includes working with community and voluntary groups as well as utilising reablement and commissioned services.

You will need to be confident and experienced in all Legislative Frameworks associated with Adult Social Care, linked to your Social Work practice. You will be able to work autonomously and bring with you excellent problem solving and decision making skills. Be confident in all areas of communication and have proven negotiation skills. We would value application from those who are keen to support and strengthen our community. In turn through training and support we will offer you help in developing your social work role ensuring you have protected CPD time and offering access to regular formal and informal supervision and diverse training packages.

You will need to be passionate about supporting our community in Blackpool, be committed to your role as a social worker and keen to grow and develop in line with SWE protocols. In turn we can offer you access to a visible management team who will collectively offer an Induction to support your transition into a new role.

  • DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
  • Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups
  • Possess knowledge of service needs.
  • Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
  • Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
  • Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
