We have an exciting locum opportunity for you to make a difference in the lives of children aged 0-2 years within an innovative Born Into Care team in Blackpool, Lancashire.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing a Caseload: Conducting pre-birth assessments, early intervention, direct work and developing collaborative plans with families and partners
  • Assessment & Planning: Undertaking viability assessments, risk assessments, and birth plans, as well as engaging in court work when necessary.
  • Facilitating Meetings: Chairing child-in-need meetings, core group meetings, and ensuring effective communication among stakeholders

To be considered for the Social Worker, ideally you will have:

  • 2+ years' experience supporting families, including experience in undertaking assessments and direct work with a proven ability to work creatively with families
  • Diploma/Degree in Social Work
  • Registration with Social Work England
